Imaginal Disk
Magdalena Bay
first impression: has some really sick moments, but most of the undertone record is a bit too cheery for me
Surprisingly little synthpop in here. I actually have no idea how to classify this. They just threw everything at a wall to see what sticks and it works fabulously. Bit of a mess at first listen, but it keeps getting better and better.
things really pick up from image -> fear, sex
Across their song what I love is the thick synth that "kicks" in from time to time - U see it on image, d&r, fearsex, Matt/mica
should def give this album a listen on acid
Sep '24love this kind of distorted guitars that kick in at the end
Sep '24"commmon sense" to us planning our meals better - like ofc thats high priority
Mar '25holy fuck the transition into and out of this song are insane
Sep '24i felt liek a dformless entity being materializeed momentarily for this song, so i could feel this emotion right here
Mar '25the high pitched iiimmmmmm right at the end is so good

Sep '24how tf did i put this in my abmient playlist lmao
Mar '25why tf is the last third of the song completely different from the first??? that part is deranged and howl-y but the first two thirds is sugar pop
